I am the owner of two Corporations, Bossy Mama Inc. and Mommy Connections Inc. Mommy Connections connects Moms, Dads & Families through pre & post-natal programs. The six week program highlights postnatal fitness and health, nutrition for mom and baby, baby dental concerns, baby communication, infant massage, pharmacist lecture on fever/dosing/immunization, clubs and classes for mom & baby, city programs child care options, returning to work, baby wearing, diapering, travel with baby etc.! A group of 30-50 moms meets each week for 1.5 hours to learn as well as meet other new moms. At the end of the 6 week program, the moms are broken down into smaller groups of 10-15 women that live in their neighborhood. The goal of the programs are to connect women in their communities and encourage support networks. Mommy Connections began in one location in South Edmonton and in January will be in more than 7 locations. The business model is now being licensed for Canada wide expansion.
