Love Trees

<p><strong>Please describe the product or service your business offers:</strong></p><p>Love Trees manages a powerful children’s educational tree planting program and is also a member of the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Billion Tree Campaign. Love Trees sells gift tree planting certificates and offers corporate partnerships in an effort to raise funds to give children in Canada and around the world a tree of their own to plant and watch grow. When kids plant their Wish Tree, either with their family at home or as part of a school or camp environmental project, they get to make a wish for the planet. They’re also learning that they have the power to help make the world a better place. In developing countries, trees can alleviate hunger, foster self-sufficiency, provide natural disaster tree relief, combat global warming and improve nearby soil, air and water – for many this is a wish come true.</p><p><strong>What inspired you to become a Mom Entrepreneur?</strong></p><p>My children and all the children I have planted trees with in Canada and Africa. I hope that by showing kids that they have the power to help the planet will truly make the world a better place!</p><p><strong>What will the $22,000 grand prize of cash and business advisory services allow your business to do?</strong></p><p>The prize money will be used to support Love Trees operations in Canada and around the world.
